Wavedash & Madeon - All Ur Luv (feat. Toro y moi) Review

When this song was first announced I was pretty excited since I am a big fan of Toro y Moi, Madeon, and Wavedash. I was wondering what this was going to sound like and I was pretty surprised that it sounded mostly like a Madeon song. The piano part at the intro that plays throughout the song is catchy and fun to listen to. Chaz’s vocals on the track sound great all around, but I wish they took a bit more from the psychedelic/indie side of Toro y Moi. The song is still a catchy ass pop song with a solid chorus.  When Madeon sings his verse you can immediately tell it’s a Madeon melody. He definitely has a signature sound that is pretty unique to him, especially since Good Faith Forever. Overall, I like it, but it’s not the best song of any of these artists. “All Ur Luv” is probably the most upbeat song I’ve heard this year so far. It’s enjoyable and I think I’d enjoy a full project with this group especially if it balances some more typical Wavedash and Toro y Moi sounds.
