Justice x Tame Impala - “One Night / All Night” Review

I was very excited to see that Justice and Tame Impala were collaborating, and I think the end product was pretty good. “One Night / All Night” is well-produced, and the kick and snare are especially great sounding. Kevin Parker’s vocals fit on the track perfectly. The synth, bass, and drums are all they need to make this song sound pretty massive.

The bass breakdown is amazing and takes the track to a much groovier, 70s disco-inspired place. The tone of the lead synth sounds like candy and is almost reminiscent of something straight out of Currents. The outro feels so indicative of Kevin Parker’s production. The mix of Parker and Justice fits together very well, and it sounds natural.

The studio version is much better than the music video because it’s longer and has fewer random sound effects. Ultimately, I’m glad this exists; it's not the best thing either artist has created, but it’s a good listen. I am excited about the upcoming Justice album since “Generator” was also a good track.
