Forgotten & Obscure Songs Pt. 3

This month’s list of Forgotten & Obscure Songs. There are no real rules nor real order, but they are all songs worth checking out especially if you haven’t heard them before.

The Incredible String Band - Air (1968)

The first time I heard this song was when I was in college and I watched the 1971 movie Taking Off during a scene where a stoner teaches a bunch of yuppies how to smoke a joint. Every once in a while I’ll roll up and smoke while playing this.

Com Truise - Klymaxx (2012)

This song is awesome. One of the coolest dudes I met in college put this one on while we were all chilling and it was a great time.

SHOPPING - STRAIGHT LINES (2015)

This song gets stuck in my head randomly even now years later, mainly that energetic af guitar riff. I have no idea when I first heard this song. High energy and catchy. Listen to it.

SOLOS - Bell Jar (2022)

My old roommate made this and I think you should check it out. Pretty good indie song, sort of like Beach Fossils.

Fuzzy Eyes - It Was Always There (2022)

This is the song I most recently found on this list during a YouTube algorithm dive. A sort of indie/dream-pop song. Good shit.

HOMESHAKE - Haters (2013)

I know HOMESHAKE is not a very obscure artist but this song definitely is. This is off his first EP that’s not readily available on streaming but thats a solid EP. Check out this song.

The Golden Dawn - Starvation (1968)

This is pure as-hell 1960s psychedelic rock. If you like psych rock, this is a trippy song.
