Forgotten & Obscure Songs Pt. 5

Here is this month’s list of songs. Check them out or don’t, I don’t care I’m not your dad.

Ron Wood - Far East Man (1974)

Written by George Harrison. Great song. That’s all you need to know.

Death - Keep on Knocking (2009)

Released in 2009 but originally recorded in 1975, this album may be one of the first punk albums ever made.

The Feelies - Crazy Rhythms (1980)

I love post-punk and jangle-pop and that’s what you get with this Feelies song. 10/10.

Jerry Paper - Kill the Dream (2016)

This is for the people who miss that lazy-sounding beachy psych-pop of the 2010s like I do. Jerry Paper is so underrated.

Pierce Fulton - I Know (2019)

An amazing dance track from an artist who passed away far too soon.

The Suburbs - Hey Muse! (2017)

It's an interesting song that sounds like it could’ve come straight from college radio in the 80s.

Gandalf - Hang on to a Dream (1969)

A masterclass in psychedelic rock.

Maggie Bell - If You Don’t Know (1975)

It’s crazy to me how much some of the instrumental sounds like Khruangbin. This has way better vocals though.

Andrew Wyatt - Harlem Boyzz (2013)

This is an excellent song reminiscent of early 70s Bowie.
